Therapy for Individuals, Couples, and Parents in Marin County and throughout California
Welcome. I’m Jen.
I love this work—and I really believe in it. From personal experience, I know that therapeutic work can lead us back to what is most important and essential in our lives: namely stronger relationships with ourselves, other people, and the world, and a deeper engagement with life.
I wholeheartedly believe that healing ourselves is one of the most profound and loving actions we can take in this life, for both ourselves and the world, and I would love to walk beside you on this path.
Clients have described me as authentic, warm, intelligent, curious, intuitive, and open-hearted.
There is a wise part of you that knows it is possible to feel better: more aligned, alive and present in your life.
I can help you make this a reality.
In therapy, you will feel both supported and encouraged to grow. We will look for and celebrate what is working, and also explore the bigger challenges that you face. If you feel lost, stuck, or just generally unhappy in your day-to-day life, therapy can help.
Therapy will allow you to reconnect to your true self and feel your own desires and deeper longings. We will also explore ways in which you have been hurt. As we move through life, we are all wounded, in ways big and small. When these wounds are left unhealed, they can have a deep impact on our ability to fully experience life. Therapy is a safe and sacred space in which to understand, hold, and heal these wounds within a container of trust.
Therapy with me is:
-
Somatic
Growing up, we are taught that our mind has the answers. A somatic approach acknowledges that much of what we are trying to access in therapy—our deepest knowing as well as our traumas—lives in the body. We will slowly, gently attune to the body and use it as an untapped additional source of wisdom, helping to create a sense of wholeness and alignment.
-
Relational
Much of the effectiveness of therapy is dependent on the strength of the therapist-client relationship. Together we will build a warm, honest, authentic relationship to practice relating in new ways and to give you things you may not have received from your earliest relationships, such as deep attention, presence, and genuine positive regard and curiosity.
-
Aligned
I believe we are most fulfilled when we are living in alignment with our authentic self. However, we are often conditioned to align with societal expectations rather than our own deepest truths. I will help you connect with your authentic self and live in a way that is in integrity with this deepest, truest part of you.

Parts-Oriented
We all have different parts inside of us—this is how we can both hate and love someone at the same time. Getting to know and learning how to relate to these different parts of ourselves can offer insight and healing.
